Naupactus pilipes is similar to N. leucoloma in size and body shape, but is covered with piliform scales instead of oval scales. The vestiture is mostly brown, dense and pale on the even intervals and sparse on uneven intervals of the elytra, that have a banded aspect. The scutellum is white and the corbels of hind tibiae are absent, same as in N. leucoloma, but the humeri are less rounded and the eyes are more convex.
