Priocyphopsis humeridens is the type species of Priocyphopsis, described by Lanteri (1990b), and is currently the only known species of this genus (Lanteri & del Río 2016).

The scaly vestiture of this species is grey-brownish, lacking long erect setae on the elytra. The rostrum is conical, with strong lateral carinae; the humeri are projected in a small tooth-like denticle, and the inner margin of the front tibiae bears a line of few large denticles.
Unknown.

It is mainly associated with vegetation typical of the Monte biogeographic province, mainly characterized by the genera Prosopis (Fabaceae) and Larrea (Zygophyllaceae).
