Localidad tipo: Canal 6 y Parana de las Palmas, Estación Agropecuaria Delta del INTA, Buenos Aires, Argentina. IV-30-66, 65F, 59M, 15P, 130L, 62 lpAd, 55 pAd, García & Casal.
Los estados inmaduros se colectaron en axilas de Eryngium spp. junto con especímenes de Culex renatoi, Culex castroi y Culex spinosus. Se han capturado hembras en ambientes suburbanos (Hoyos y Monzón 2021).
