Las larvas y pupas fueron recolectadas de las axilas de especies de Eryngium (Apiaceae) asociadas a larvas de Culex renatoi y Culex hepperi (Campos et al., 2011) y en Alocasia macrorrhiza en provincias del noreste argentino (Alvarez et al. 2024). Se han colectado pupas en todas las estaciones del año, aún en pleno invierno, por lo que se podría inferir que no existe diapausa invernal.
