Disease relations: unknown.

Larvae and pupae of Culex chidesteri have been collected from semipermanent puddles and small lagoons with vegetation (Pistia sp., among others). Larvae and females were registered throughout the year in Chaco Province, Argentina. Females were collected with CDC light traps with UV-light placed in anthropic environment.
