Naupactus sulcipes is similar to the females of N. chordinus in body size and shape, but the vestiture of piliform scales is more sparse and dark brown, the erect setae on the elytra are longer, the eyes are less convex, the pronotum is wider, and the elytra shorter, wider and with more convex intervals. The corbels of the hind tibiae are absent same as in N. chordinus.
