Según Berlin (1969) y Knight & Stone (1977), esta especie sólo se conocía de la serie de tipos recolectados en Yungas de Coroico, Bolivia; por lo tanto, el registro argentino es cuestionable. Posteriormente, Peyton et al. (1983) recolectaron esta especie en el sureste de Bolivia durante 1982 (Mitchell & Darsie, 1985).
Larva, pupa y hembra desconocidas.
