Type Locality: San Ignacio, Misiones province, IV-26_67, 21pM, 2pM, Casal & García.
Habitat and breeding sites
The male of Culex dureti has been described based on four immatures collected by Casal and García in 1968 in a small lake with clear permanent water and abundant herbaceous vegetation exposed to direct sunlight of the road in San Ignacio, Misiones, Argentina (Casal & Garcia 1968; Heinemann & Belkin 1979).
