Disease relations: unknown.

Habitat and breeding sites
Larvae of Culex articularis were collected in a dry and cold climate, in a fertile lowland environment that feeds spring of a stream with abundant coastal vegetation of the genus Cortadeira. Culex articularis was found associated with amphipods of the genus Hyalella.
