Observations
Type locality: Luganillas, Vallegrande, Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
Habitat and breeding sites
Immature stages were collected from ground ponds, small lagoons, and temporary breeding habitats with clear and turbid water, with or without grass and partial and full sun, and not very deep (Stein et al. 2022). The immature stages of Psorophora dimidiata were found in sympatry with larvae of Culex saltanensis, Ochlerotatus albifasciatus, Ochlerotatus fulvus, Ochlerotatus scapularis, Psorophora ciliata, Psorophora cilipes, Psorophora confnnis, and Psorophora pallescens (Stein et al. 2022).
