"The type locality is Reserva Nacional "Finca El Rey", Departamento de Anta, Salta province. This pecies was placed in synonymy under Ae. angustivittatus by Ronderos & García (1962 (1963) and resurrected as a valid species by Arnell (1976). The older record for Aedes angustivittatus in Argentina refer to this species." Mitchell & Darsie (1985).
