Most of the northern part of South America, from Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia and southern Brazil.
Observations
Very large, with toothed lateral margins of the pronotum disk. The species in Misiones could also be the very similar Steirodon (Posidippus) dentiferoides Emsley, 1970. Needs verification.
