Enoplopactus ortizi is differentiated by the pale green vestiture of dense scales, with a pair of yellow stripes along the elytra, usually covered with waxy exudate; the truncate-conical pronmotum, with postero-lateral angles projecting in a tubercle; and the humeri also bearing a tubercle.

Sphaeralcea bonariensis (Cav.) Grisebach (= malvavisco) and Gossypium hirsutum L. (Malvaceae) (Lanteri et al. 2002a). Sphaeralcea bonariensis is a shrub native to the Chacoan biogeographic province, distributed in central and northern Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.
This species is mainly associated with vegetation typical of the Chacoan biogeographic province.
