This species is a vector of the "Brazilian tomato curly top virus (BrCTV)" (Costa & Carvalho, 1960). Furthemore, a strain of ‘Candidatus Phytoplasma pruni’ (subgroup 16SrIII-AD) was found in Agallia albidula and citrus plants with symptoms similar to HLB in Brazil (Barbosa et al. 2025).
Alfalfa, tomato, sweet potato, tobacco, chard, sunflower, wheat, beans, cotton, Citrus sp., oats, Cynodon sp. and weeds (Varela et al., 2007).
