Phytosanitary importance: Specimens of this species collected in Entre Ríos province, tested positive for the bacterium Xylella fastidiosa (Dellapé et al. 2016). Preliminary tests, confirmed the transmission of X. fastidiosa subsp. pauca by Tapajosa rubromarginata (Dellapé et al. 2016).
