Natural enemies: Strepsiptera Halictophagidae (Remes Lenicov et al. 1999). Hymenoptera: Mymaridae: ]Gonatocerus (Cosmocomoidea) abbreviatus (Ogloblin) and Gonatocerus (Cosmocomoidea) metanotalis (Ogloblin) (Luft Albarracín et al. 2009).

Phytosanitary importance: Specimens collected in Misiones province tested positive for Xylella fastidiosa (de Coll et al. 2000) so, considering its high frequency in citrus plants is considered a potential vector of this bacterium in Argentina (Defea et al. 2022).
