Phytosanitary Importance: Known vector of the bacterium Xylella fastidiosa subsp. pauca to citrus [experimental transmission](Esteves et al. 2019, Marucci et al. 2008), coffee [experimental transmission] (Fundecitrus 1999, Marucci et al. 2008), and olives (Froza 2022) in Brazil. In Argentina, is considered a potential vector and tested positive for Xylella fastidiosa subsp. pauca in specimens collected in Misiones and Entre Ríos provinces (de Coll et al. 2000, Dellapé et al. 2016).
