Relación con enfermedades: El virus Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis fue aislado en 1958/1959 de pools de Psorophora albipes en Colombia (Groot et al., 1959). La especie ha estado potencialmente involucrado como vector del virus Fiebre Amarilla en Brasil (de Abreu et al. 2019).
Relación con enfermedades: El virus Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis fue aislado en 1958/1959 de pools de Psorophora albipes en Colombia (Groot et al., 1959). La especie ha estado potencialmente involucrado como vector del virus Fiebre Amarilla en Brasil (de Abreu et al. 2019).
