Larvae have been found primarily in cut or broken bamboo and fallen leaves, palm and fronds, artificial containers (plastic bottle) and from a ground seepage. It has been recorded with: Culex brethesi, Culex chidesteri, Culex corniger, Culex coronator, Culex mollis, Culex tatoi, Haemagogus spegazzinii, Limatus durhamii, Trichoprosopon pallidiventer, Toxorhynchites sp., Sabethes undosus, Wyeomyia aporonoma.
