Habitat and breeding sites
Immature stages have been collected from epiphytic bromeliads. In Brazil, from bromeliads Aechmea blanchetiana, Aechmea lingulata, Aechmea lindenii, Alcantarea imperialis, Edmundoa lindenii, Neoregelia compacta and Neoregelia cruenta.
