Habitat and breeding sites
The species was predominantly found in modified manmade environments, represented by artificially open lands. Breeding places were found in these situations, associated with grown land vegetation, mainly grasses or aquatic plants. In these places, immature stages were found in biotic sympatry with Culex plectoporpe and Culex rabelloi in Brazil. Besides this, adults were collected inside small urban areas.
