"This species has been listed as a synonym under Aedes serratus (Komp 1949; Del Ponte et al. 1951; Lane 1953) but Belkin et al. (1970) revalidated it based primarily on the morphology of the male genitalia. It was not reported from Argentina by Knight & Stone (1977)." Mitchell & Darsie (1985).
