Diagnosis. Distinguished from other Neotropical congeners by the following combination of characters: third palpal segment without a definite sensory pit, capitate sensilla scattered on surface on mesodistal portion; vein M2 not visible; second radial cell fused with costal cell as vein R1 obliterated; female genital sclerotization M-shaped; apodeme of gonocoxites shortly expanded toward anterior end; aedeagus with lateral sclerites stout, gradually curved to tip and crossed in midline, submedian processes subparallel and fused on proximal one-third.
