uruguayensis Spinelli & Grogan, 1986: 458 (female). Type locality: Uruguay, Artigas, Colonia San Gregorío, arrocera de Conti. HT F (MLPA). Distr.- Argentina (Corrientes: Monte Caseros, 30°15'23.77"S, 57°37'21.10"W; La Pampa: Parque Luro, 36°54'48.04"S, 66°15'42.96"W), Uruguay. Refs.: Spinelli, 1987b: 160; Spinelli & Cazorla, 2003: 47 (Parque Luro incorrectly cited as Pedro Luro).

NOTE: Spinelli (2000, page 70) incorrectly recorded Clastrieromyia dycei Spinelli & Gorgan for Lobos in Buenos Aires and Colonia 25 de Mayo in Buenos Aires and La Pampa provinces, respectively. A detailed reexamination of the specimens (one female for each locality) revealed that they belong to C. uruguayensis. For this reason, these localities are herein attributed to C. uruguayensis, and C. dycei is excluded from the argentinean fauna, being the latter species restricted to its type locality in Uruguay, Tacuarembó, Estancia Ipoa.
