Species Information - Bombus (Thoracobombus) opifex Smith, 1879

This species was mistakenly cited for the province of Misiones (Abrahamovich & Diaz, 2001; Abrahamovich et al. 2004, 2005), due to mislabeled specimens deposited in the La Plata Museum. Specimens from San Ignacio, Mendoza (Jórgensen, 1912a, 1912b) were relabeled as from San Ignacio, Misiones.
